Brilliant stuff. Love those first few EJ albums. Saw him live a few years ago and he was excellent.

Madman across the water now, on vinyl.

Lost Angeles:

“Script for a Jesters Tear” and “Forgotten Sons” from the Script ajbum.

Survivor the Eagles album was about £16 on Amazon..

Queen 2 was the last decent Queen album. My fave track is” The march of the Black Queen"

My two favourite tracks from the Script album.

£16 is a great price! Wow, that`s come down a helluva lot. Thanks for that Lost.

My favourite track on Queen 2 is "White Queen (As it began)"

Lost Angeles:
Marillion “Essential Collection”. Only copy of Grendel I've got followed by the tracks “Script for a Jesters Tear” and “Forgotten Sons” from the Script ajbum.

Then Steely Dan tracks “Rikki don't lose that number” and “Haitian Divorce”

What about 'A Day At The Races' and 'A Night At The Opera'???? Those are brilliant albums!!!! As is 'Sheer Heart Attack'. Then skip a few (which are good but not on the same par) and the latest Q+PR offering 'The Cosmos Rocks' strikes me as a superb piece of work. The old and new songs translate well live as well - I saw them last year and was blown away by the whole gig.

Octopo:They are like two different seasons (without wanting to sound corny). Float got me into him because of it's similarity to Max Richter, Home is more like the Fleet Foxes and Jose Gonzalez. Both excellent albums.

Good call - just listened to Float this morning again on my ipod, excellent. Will need to have a listen to the new one.

I played Oh(Ohio) by Lambchop at the weekend and think it is an amazing album, fit's in nicely with this type of stuff.

Just having a listen to it on Spotify, I've never bought anything by Lambchop before. Reminds me a bit of Leonard Cohen and Nick Cave, pretty good.

I first came across them when the Nixon album (another cracker) came out and I bought the 12" of Up With People (with a brilliant remix by Zero 7). Admittedly they don't experiment much with their sound (except maybe the CoLAB EP) but they do write a mean tune and are an excellent live band.

Hadn't heard this in yonks, still worth a listen (saw them at the Eden Project they were ace).

Something a bit more adventurous after over-doing the AOR. Love this album. One of my favourite Crimson efforts.

King Crimson followed by a dash of Pharoah Sanders - my favourite way to blow off those old cobwebs, nice one.

I have the first 4 albums on vinyl but after Queen 2 I always thought they stopped being a rock band and turned into a pop group. Have not played the 3rd & 4th albums for years.
I've got “It's a kind of magic” probably because I like the film “Highlander” and recently got “The Cosmos Rocks” which is not bad.
A couple of years ago I saw a schools production of “We will Rock You” which I thought was excellent and we will go and see in the west end sometime soon. I would think this is definitely worth seeing for any Queen fans.
Perhaps my taste has changed recently but I definitely went off Queen in the mid 70s.

Tonight I played Deep Purple “The House of Blue Light” which arguably is more listenable on MP3 than a hifi system
