A better question would be: Why are adults wasting time listening to music instead of working and contributing more to GDP?

Because by listening to music we are consumers of a product, we need more consumers at the moment and the music industry is one of our best.

Oooh good one!
Love Doves.
Best track for me is Pounding.

...and my Classic Rock mag came today so I'm now watching the DVD that came with it. Some nice footage of The Who, Jefferson Airplane, Black Crowes, Paul Rodgers, Yes, Rush, The Doors etc. Good freebie even if it is blatant advertising for Eagle Rock's catalogue.

up the music:Augustus Pablo - Dub, Reggae & Roots From The Melodica King

probably to be followed by some

Skatalites or similar

I like The Skatalites version of The Guns Of Navarone.

Right now: Cream - Best Of

Later (might take me the whole w/e actually): Damien Rice, Kosheen, Joy Div, Rufus Wainwright, Diana Krall...

matthewpiano: Two great albums by a very great band. Peter Hammill is fantastic.Predictably, I am forced to agree with you 🙂

A new one. Very good but not 100% sure yet. Some really good ideas and instrumentally excellent but I think the lead vocals need to grow on me a bit more.

EDIT: The album is 'Phonography' by a band called The Treat.
