I got the new Portishead when it came out, expecting big things after being pretty into them the first time round. Stuck it on, realised theyre actually quite dull and havent played it since!
 
`Yours Truly` - Air Supply This album contains a stunning song called `You Are The Reason` featuring a guest vocalist named Mehnaz.
 
Gabriela Montero - Bach and Beyond (awesome piano improvisation!) The Postal Service - Give up Colleen - The Golden Morning Breaks (Leaf label)

Yep. Great band. Mike Scott is one of my favourite songwriters. Heard a great story about him when `The Whole Of The Moon` was re-released and became a hit for the second time. Story goes that they were trying to find Mike Scott to give him a royalties cheque but couldn`t because he was off adventuring somewhere. I thought that was great, the idea that rather than sitting in waiting for a cheque he was off doing his own thing.

By the way, do you own the album `A Pagan Place`? It contains one of my favourite songs of all time called `Red Army Blues`. VERY highly recommended with some wonderful sax solos. All the best.

Really really good, did over 2 1/2 hours with no real breaks. he's on again tonight so get down there if you can. R
