Me too. Listened to it when I came home from work. Very good, if a little on the short side.

Now listening to Kate Royal's debut recital CD with the Academy of St. Martin In The Fields on EMI Classics. Her new recital disc of 20th century opera heroines is supposed to be released today, but no sign of it in HMV :-(.

Great way to spend a bank holiday!

Loads of good stuff in your playlist but especially pleased to find another fan of `The Loner` by Gary Moore, `White Queen` by Queen and a touch of Blackmore`s Night. Nice one!

Survivor Glad you liked the list. I played Black Queen first but decided White Queen was favourite Queen track and the Gary Moore was a close call.

None of the list would be in my top 10 though.

Roxy Music. Re-make/Re-model. I listen to music all the time - as we all do - but this is the first time I've been moved to post up on the this, the finest thread on the Forums (cheers Fast Eddie). I hadn't listened to Re-make/Re-model in blimming years, and tonight it sounds like the greatest recording ever. If you're anywhere near Spotify and you don't know it, call it up - it could really work for you.

Further music from Spotify, the new Gomez album again and a Peter Gabriel playlist I have made up of radio edits and film music including stuff from Philadelphia, Gangs of New York, Natural Born Killers and WALL:E. Now that is an excellent advert for what you do with Spotify. In effect I am listening to a new Peter Gabriel album, that is exclusively mine, I made it.

A moment of recording excellence for Deutsche Grammophon. This beautifully delicate interpretation by Maria Joao Pires is perfectly supported by the relatively small orchestral forces of the Chamber Orchestra of Europe. Its a performance which allows Chopin's music to breathe and which highlights the vital influence Mozart's music had on Chopin's compositional style.

One of the very finest of all Chopin discs, with some beautiful performances of the F Minor Fantasy and the Fantasy-Impromptu to complete the programme.

CD1 of this excellent box set, featuring Beethoven Piano Sonatas Op2 No.1, Op.2 No.2, Op.10 No.1, and Op.49 No.1.

I intend to work my way through the whole set again over the next few days, after a spell away from these discs.
