....and finishing off with a little Craig Armstrong compilation of downloaded tracks, including the stunning 'Ruthless Gravity' and 'Finding Beauty'.

Robert Fripp is king. I have this great live one in Argentina:

Liszt: A Faust Symphony (Budapest Festival Orchestra/Ivan Fischer), Philips Classics 454 460-2.

Liszt: Piano Concertos 1 & 2 (Sviatoslav Richter/LSO/Kondrashin), Philips Classics 446 200-2.

Two of the best orchestral discs I've ever heard. Richter's playing in the concertos is amongst the finest he ever recorded.

Rachmaninov: Piano Concerto No.3 (Ashkenazy/LSO/Previn) Decca 425 576-2

Listening to this on headphones and it sounds wonderful. I'd forgotten what a great recording of Rach 3 this is. Ashkenazy at his most musical with none of the slight treble glint that afflicts his recordings occasionally.

Peter Greens Splinter Group, Destiny Road...... not my normal style but the wife has gone to bed [ she would hate it, being a fan of German industrial grinding rock
