Saw this band on Jools Holland the other night and I have placed it on my wants list. Very interesting.
It's a supurb album....one of my favourite's ATM,and is available on Spotify i believe if you want to try before you buy!
One of Fairport's strongest albums from after the Sandy Denny/Richard Thompson/Ian Matthews days. To lose band personnel of that sort of calibre and still produce an album as vital, interesting and brilliantly played as 'Babbacombe Lee' just goes to show how brilliant the Fairports are.

Was in a 90's "Brit pop" mood and just finished listening to these
If you're in a 90's mood try and dig this up
Back In Denim by (you guessed it) Denim.
The band Lawrence Hayward formed after the demise of Felt. It really is a travesty that he isn't mentioned in the same breath as Jarvis Cocker, Damon Albarn and Morrisey as I think he has written some of the finest songs going, just check out The Osmonds on Back In Denim or if you can find it Summer Smash (seemingly this was to be released as a single and the day before it's release Princess Di was killed so the record company pulled the release, maybe an indication as to his bad luck - but it's a brilliant pop song).
