Your welcome survivor. Presently routing about in the early 1970s, psychedellic man! If you like Gong, The Soft Machine or Caravan, then try Trettioariga Kriget and the album 'Glorious War', their recordings from the early 1970s.

I was mainly a stadium prog rocker till Spotify and Prog Archives opened up the wider (obscure) prog world. Scandinavian, then jazz fusion prog, then metal prog and now finally folk prog. This album is brilliant........

Brilliant indeed. Last time I saw the Acoustic Strawbs they played 'The Antique Suite' from this very album and it was superb.

IMO this, alongside 'Strawbs', 'Dragonfly', and 'From The Witchwood' are the best Strawbs albums.

Thanks for that. The three recommended albums are being downloaded off Spotify. I really like the final track 'Forever'. Its Jefferson Airplane/CS&N/Grateful Dead psychedellic. Lovely stuff.

'From The Witchwood' is perfection itself. Let me know what you think of it.

Classically influenced prog by Renaissance, lighter than the anthemic style of the Nice and ELP.

Did you know that some-time Renaissance keyboard player John Hawken was also a key member of the 'Hero & Heroine' line-up of Strawbs?

I was privileged enough to see Hawken play with the electric band (Strawbs) just before he retired from performing. What a fantastic musician!!

The BJH is incredible. 'The Poet/After The Day' is mind-blowingly good with some wonderful searing guitar work by the brilliant John Lees. Those two songs are amongst my most favourite music of all.

'From The Witchwood' is a perfect album IMO. Dave Cousins' song-writing at its absolute best and some stunning keyboard work from the master himself, Rick Wakeman. Wakeman's contributions to this and 'Just A Collection of Antiques & Curios' are amongst his best work of all.

Foot tapping, head nodding, a thoroughly enjoyable listen. I have, as I said only really got into the likes of Renaissance over the past six months or so and now The Strawbs. Though I only like the first couple of Renaissance albums, what a fantastic untapped mine of brilliant music. 'Cannondale' with its beat and sitar sounds amazing in my headphones.
