Trettioariga Kriget and the album is 'Hej Pa Eri'. Not really prog at all, more the lighter end of heavy metal and a few phrases that reminded me of Thin Lizzy. Fabulous guitar playing.

Far more traditional prog and Beardfish with 'The Sane Day'. A superb album.

The Tangent, a band who have featured the members of other bands such as The Flower Kings, Beardfish and Van Der Graf Generator. It is happy, uplifting prog rock akin to Yes, but not sound-a-like.

Amorphis - `Silent Waters` (spotify) Thanks to idc for putting me onto this band. They`re fantastic and I shall be ordering some of their albums in the new year.

Eva Cassidy - `Somewhere` (cd) Not my favourite collection by this wonderful singer but still well worth the £5 I paid for this album.

Slade - `Whatever Happened To Slade` (cd) There`s so much more to Slade than a load of hit singles and a christmas record.
