I find the Panasonic ads either side of the page content is a real help with looking at the screen. Black + colour and nothing moving around is much easier on the eyes.

Site loads much quicker now, including the Forums page, until you click on Active topics and then the wait is ridiculous, 10 to 15 seconds. Any idea when you'll sort this out??????

Impossible to even imagine that this terrible/awful site is the result of an effort 12 months-long. Juses Christ!

Just thought I'd bump this as I don't appear have had my question answered. Thanks.

ps. The forums ran MUCH quicker this afternoon, but they are back to being very slow again now.

I have to agree.

I find this new site terrible to look at. So much so that I rarely do.

It takes most incentive away to join and contribute.

Sorry.

Regards

I have to say the new format of the "Review" section is nearly unusable. It is so much more awkward to use than before. Hence I now tend not to use What Hi Fi as my reference for reviews of products.

Why do I keep getting an 'access denied' when clicking on the 'new and updated topics'?! And all too frequently I'm not showing as logged in, and when I click on 'log in' it thinks about it and screws up! Irritating.

Still buggy as heck. I can't create new threads. I had one disappear soon after the switch to the new site, and one again today.

I get a message saying I've created a new thread and get taken to the front/home page of the website, but there is no sign of my thread.

I also can't reply to threads on my iPhone. Gets all kinds of buggy when I try to enter the text in the box for the reply.

Most of the Forum pages were loading quickly over the weekend using my iPad at home, although it's true the Active Topics page takes longer than others to load as it has to update with all the new posts. I've got our dev team looking into that to see if they can speed it up.

Andy,

Any news for me... I have sent several Emails and still no reply, pretty poor really.

Surely it can't be difficult to revert the old way when it was simple to cut and paste links?

Mac, paste the link by using the fourth icon from the left, at the top of the dialogue box (it's after the Bold, Italics and Underline icons).

When this "Link" icon is pressed, the cursor in the "URL" box flashes, ready to accept the Paste. Once pasted, press OK (in the Link Box), which puts the link into your post.

I've tweaked your settings, see if that helps.

Cheers, but the fear of putting up a whole new post and risking it disappearing is a bit demotivating.

Oh, look. I went to try reposting my thread in the your system section and now the original post seems to have finally appeared.

Well, whatever you did seems to have worked. Cheers.

None of the complaints I made about use on an iPhone have been addressed. Is your experience different Andy? If so what am I doing wrong please? I basically don't use the forum now, apart from the film club thread, it's far too much hassle. Probably most people think that's a good thing; there we are.

Appreciate you trying to help Cno, but as I've Emailed Andy, my screen reader cannot even read the buttons!

I've even tried using a different piece of software, but still no good.

It's so frustrating!

Dear Joe (and/or Andy)

I am disappointed that neither of you have, as yet, answered the questions/issues I brought up in my last post (#451), twelve days ago, in answer to Joe's message to me.

When might I receive a reply?

Warmest regards

James

BTW, I've just looked at my account and it says ...

"This user does not have any forum posts yet."

Well, we know that is palpably untrue, don't we? :-(

Warmest regards

James

If it's at all possible to shove one person's complaints/concerns to the top of the To Do list, please can it be Macspur's? The rest of our petty whines pale into insignificance.

Don't go Ben, you're one of the best members for sure. The website is pants though. *yes3*
