your new site is just stupendously bad. dynamicaly rescale for different devices? then why does my 24 inch monitor look like something a phone should be getting. oh mother of christ and i thought the cnet revamp was bad.

and just what the hell is with there new being soem vast array of "products" that just give you the buyers blurb on amazon. oh my god, just oh my god.

I'm loving the new site, no problems here. *smile*

Just tried to view this train wreck on a PC for the first time in ages, and discovered an annoying bug.

When logged out of whathifi, using latest stable Chrome on Linux Mint 17 the navigation bar loads in the middle of the page. It does load properly when logged in

EDIT - FFS i give up! I'm still getting the bloody word verification..

That often happens on my iPad when trying to post replies. The task bar will resolutely remain in the middle of the comment box.

Bizarrely, even when logged in I do not see the last post that is purported to exist according to the forum post. Even more bizarrely, I *did* see it when I looked when not logged in.

In other words, cacheing appears to be a bit screwed.

Surely it can't be difficult to revert the old way when it was simple to cut and paste links?

Appreciate you trying to help Cno, but as I've Emailed Andy, my screen reader cannot even read the buttons!

I've even tried using a different piece of software, but still no good.

It's so frustrating!

Mac

Mac, can you tell me which screen reader you are using please?

It's one called JAWS Andy.

Details can be found at www.freedomscientific.com

Cheers

Any news Andy?

Am I the only politically correct whacko who considers this smiley *mamba* to be a little on the racist side?

What is the smiley package used? e.g. *new_russian* This one is labelled New Russian...

I cannot believe that Mac is having to chase up about this. What an absolute disgrace.

And now word verification, thanks a lot.

Only other wackos I guess. What is it, about it, that troubles you exactly?

Perhaps you could point out that there are nowhere near enough non-yellow racial group smileys represented.

Thanks... any timescales? It really shouldn't be a major issue, I've never had this problem on any other site!

I thought all websites were supposed to be tested for accessibility before being uploaded.

Just on a side note, I'm not sure what you mean by this - all websites? I can create a website now on my home NAS and publish it on the internet - no one checks it for anything. It could be completely inaccesible to anyone using Internet Explorer if I chose (not too hard to do these days!), and there wouldn't be any onus on me to change that unless I wanted to. Obviously if I wanted lots of people to be able to read it, I would choose to do that!

I'm sure the WHF dev team will get this working for you as soon as they can because obviously WHF wants their website to be available to all, but just wanted to understand where you're coming from? I may have completely misunderstood 🙂

To Andy Clough:

When will I be able write a User Rreview. For all products I select I see the text: "...this product has not been added to our database ...."

I get this for new Reviews like the FIIO X5 DAP as wella solder ones like the KEF LS-50

Has this functionality been turnd off or ??

By the way, I cant "paste" text in this screen where i'm edditing the comment post. (using IE11, WIN-7)

Another question, will the line spacing be changed soon? it is *&^%&*^

It's in fact a breech of the Disibility Descrimination act not to ensure full accessibility to websites. However, I'm sure this only applies to large concerns, not Jo Blogg writing his little blog on the net.

Btw are you a fan of Sofia Talvik by any chance?

Sadly, I doubt this website counts as an ISSP (as it does not provide any service to the public). So any obstacle to accessability is not denying them equality of access to a service or product.

Looks to me like this site's adverts alone would qualify it and that WHF is therefore in breach of the DDA.

Not to mention morally bankrupt.

It is bad enough that the site isn't compliant, but for Mac to have to chase WHF about what is happening to allow him decent access???????? WHF have our email addresses and Andy should have tasked someone to keep Mac up to date with developments. Hopeless.
