I'm an old guy just joining this group. How old? The first dream system I owned was a Sansui 4 channel QS setup from back in the late 70's. The first 4 channel LP I bought was a Doobie Brothers disc. I'm a lover of 60's and 70's rock and soul and 80's country but do have several other genres, most of which I got from my dad's collection when he passed. My current setup is great to me, but not new by any means. I have a Denon receiver with an older Bang and Olafson turntable. My speakers are completely homemade. A subwoofer-satellite system I built back in the late 80's. I have a 12-inch Sherman Research dual voice coil subwoofer. Each satellite has an 8-inch Audax bass/midrange and a 1-1/2-inch Audax soft dome tweeter. A separate smaller enclosure has a Motorola 2x5 Piezo electric tweeter. Even after all these years, it still sounds great. Only repair I've had to make was a new surround for the sub. Hoping to learn a lot from the members on here.
