wanted - a hdmi dvd player that plays DVD RAM

Hi, my parents used to have a Panasonic dvd recorder years ago which many family movies were transfered using DVD RAM.They want to watch these movied on their new LCD tv but their Bush dvd player does not play DVD ram. They also want a hdmi dvd player.

What models are available please ? (budget £50)

It's not very helpful of me, but why on earth would anyone choose to record using DVD ram instead of a widely used option like DVD- or DVD+?? I have a panasonic DVD recorder which would be able to play that format, but you're not going to get one of those at a budget of £50. Hopefully someone will know of a cheaper player.

There are a few things on ebay - looks like it'll need to be another recorder, but even some new items are under £70.

to be honest, it'll be easier if you buy a dvd writer for a computer that reads dvd-ram and then just burn them on to some dvd-r's.

that way they won't have any hassle in the future either...
