USB to SPDIF/Coax

Hello - apologies if this has been posted /answered a million times, but ... I've recently joined spotify and wondered if there was some CHEAP way to hook my laptop up to my Denon AVR1909. Any ideas, pointers, hints?

I probably cannot help, but what is your laptop and are you sure it does not have an optical out hidden in the headphone socket, as i believe some PCs have?

Didn't consider that - it's Dell XPS m1330. Will check when I get home, but I doubt it does...

I use a similar converter at times, with no issues.

BTW,some Dell's have an weird arrangement where their s-video output doubles as a coaxial output,by means of an adaptor!!!
