Turntable platter mat help

The felt mat on my deck is annoying as it always sticks to the record when I take it off. Im looking to replace it with either a cork or acrylic mat.

Does anyone have any idea which should sound better? Its main purpose is to lay flat so Im not concerned if there is a sound improvement or not but thought Id ask first.

It would be either a no brand cork for £13 or an Isomat Blue for £25. They both look good!

I bought a silicone sheet from ebay....just over 1mm thick and enough to make 2 mats. Works a treat...something like this

Just cut it with a stanley on craft knife?

I drew around the outline of the platter and just cut it with scissors........remember to cut just inside the line or it will be too big....It cuts really easy so you can do it any way you like really....
