James Blunt - Chasing Time The Bedlam Sessions

Surely there's a law against this kind of thing. :O

They are the lame sheeplike ones, not you.

Well, I'm no sheep, I always hated his music, and thought he was a complete and utter c**t.

It needed saying Freddie. Grown, seemingly intelligent men, saying they like James Blunt, what's the world coming to?

Well, I think they're..... 'Beautiful' 🙂

Anyway, it's looking like 'Live At Leeds' is quite popular 🙂 Always loved that album. If no-one has heard it, I fully recommend Colosseum Live, it's thunderous!

I'm not sure, but was that wholey a live album?

Disc 1 was live, disc 2 was compositions by the individual members recorded in the studio, so technically not a complete live album.

You've all been busy posting while I've been in work!

My Five

Camel A Live Record

Genesis Seconds Out

Genesis Three Sides Live

Peter Gabriel live in Athens 1987 (not sure if generally available but had it as download from Bowers & Wilkins subscription)

Marillion The Thieving Magpie

Nice 🙂

Something for everyone here.

Bruce Springsteen – Hammersmith Odeon London ‘75

Caetano Veloso — Totalmente Demais

Toure Kunda — Live Paris-Ziguinchor

Neil Young & Crazy Horse — Rust Never Sleeps

Talking Heads — The Name of this Band is Talking Heads

If you like Brazilian music, do give the Caetano Veloso a spin. Ditto for Toure Kunda: great West African crossover stuff.

:cheer:

Matt

Love live albums.

Here's my top five:

Genesis - Seconds Out

Thin Lizzy - Live and Dangerous

UFO - Strangers in the Night

Rush - Exit Stage Left

Depeche Mode - Songs of Faith and Devotion

Cheers!

Hawkwind - Space Ritual (Particularly any of the re-issues that included the live version of You Shouldn't Do That). By a big margin my favourite live album.

Led Zeppelin - Royal Albert Hall (From the DVD); yes I know not technically an "album" but Zep at the height of their powers (IMO)

Rush - All the World's a Stage

Porcupine Tree - Anesthetize

Jethro Tull - Bursting Out

That's OK, as this is What Hifi technical matters are excluded.

Technical nitpicking comments really not getting tiresome at all. If it bugs you so much, go elsehwere. Seems like the smart move no?

Some live recordings I like:

Hendrix - Band Of Gypsys

Böhm's Bayreuth Ring Cycle

The Orb - Live '93

Zappa In New York

I always preferred The Who's Isle Of Wight to their Live At Leeds set (both great though)

DJ Shadow - Live! In Tune & On Time
