The Silence of the Lambs on 4k - great film. I was on holiday in New York when it was released there, and did look through the listings to see if there was a film I fancied. Thought the name sounded daft and didn't bother...

Trainspotting on 4k - a genuinely brilliant film, funny, poignant, harrowing.

Definitely worth the investment - it's not eye-popping as it's quite subdued in it's palette, but there's greater detail. For example when Renton's trying to wean himself off heroin towards the start, the carrier bags he brings in are thin enough that you can see the magazines are of a 'jazz' nature through them. I'd also not noticed that after they've mugged the American tourist and are leaving the pub, you can see that the barman is trying on the American's coat.

T2 Trainspotting on 4k - a worthy sequel in my eyes.

Magicians, the Mitchell and Webb comedy - alas only available on DVD. It's not their best work, but I've got a lot of affection for it. Scene-stealing aplenty from Peter Capaldi, Darren Boyd and Steve Edge.

Yesterday to celebrate International Woman's Day, we watched Women's movies. The Prey followed by Jackie Brown.
My missus feels empowered. 😉

Ps. Ripley in Alien(s) would have been perfect choice also but I had it in 1080p only and I wanted to view it in glorious UHD.
Mind you Prey is the Predator version of Alien.
The message in the film, the biggest threat is when you consider your prey as harmless.

Love Jackie Brown - is the only one available the £35 one?

My favourite Tarrantino movie, followed by Pulp Fiction. Many would argue his finest was Reservoir Dogs and I wouldn't disagree but it lacks that Feel Good Factor and explosion of soul music in the background is dynamite!

It's £30 and a bit on eBay, cheapest I can find, ZAVVI, HMS, Amazon and et'al all selling for £35.
