It certainly seems it by this review:

Can anyone name a better TV with a better review?

If it was a QD-OLED it would be even better. A nicer remote wouldn't hurt either! My sis has an LG OLED which is a very good screen, but I prefer the processing on the Panasonic and Sony's. But personal preference of course! Don't forget there are multiple sources for reviews!

QD-OLED TV better than the LG G5?

Better is a tricky term. The Quantum Dot layer allows a wider colour gamut. The new layered OLED panels in the LG and Panasonic narrow the gap but the Samsung and Sony's have more colour volume. Some might not notice and have other priorities for their screen though. I would be happy with the Sony or Panasonics, but not a fan of the Samsung's for example.

So would you say the Sony QD-OLED TV is the current best TV you can buy?

I would need to have them all side by side in a room to be sure for my own personal opinion. The Sony won the hdtvtest shoot out. The Panasonic is the highest scorer on AVF, the LG scores well in rtings as per your earlier post. Different sources and different results. For me, upscaling of HD content, and a sharp image with accurate colours are the most important. I would chose Sony, Panasonic, LG, Samsung in that order. But others would likely disagree. My folks have a Sony and it gives a great image on all sources. My next TV will likely be a large OLED. But going to wait until RGB mini LED comes down a bit first (bright room).

The only problem with my Sony Bravia 7 is that it’s quite reflective, and then I see deals like this:

Samsung 65qn90F for £1000 with VAT claim back and discount code email10.

That’s too much though I would probably go for a TCL if I could find a non-reflective one and at 75inches again. For around £600 in the future.

A 75 inch TCL at £600 isn't likely to be as good as your Sony for a few years yet. Close the blinds or keep a light off (and put on behind the screen if you need some light in the room). Much cheaper than buying a new tele...

Yes, that’s what I am now doing and also experimenting with pictures options, on HDR Dolby Vision Vivid looks very good to me. 👍

I have had this television for twelve months now. It is probably quite a good screen (it's my first 4k screen, so nothing to compare it to) rendered almost completely useless by the idiot interface designers at LG.

Pausing and playing a stream places the lower half of the screen in half darkness for five or eight seconds. It prolly looked very nice in the boardroom of the LF labs. Staffed by people who never watch subtitled programs!
So, upon pressing play, I cannot read any subtitles until that darkness lifts. 5-8 seconds. So I must rewind to the start of what I need to read, plus 5-8 seconds. Which, very often, is in a commercial break, because I paused during an ad break. So now, I must watch the friggin ad break again, FFS.

So, this TV and SBS are woefully incompatble.

Then there is the remote control. Possibly the only remote on the planet which does not have a mute button. LG will tell you the mute button is the down volume button. You just hold it until there is no sound. FFS.
There is no pause or play button. To pause a stream requires three button presses. THREE!

I did purchase a third party remote with a remote and a play and a pause button. It operates the TV in all the ways I require. BUT every time a button is pressed, a small window appears on the screen to tell me the remote is not registered. I'm not sure why I need to know that. But it also covers the subtitles, so cna't use that either! lol

I wouldn't recommend this TV until these really basic functions are corrected.
