Even Mazda hasn't managed to make rotaries efficient...
Mazda purchased so many rotary engines over a 40 odd year period. If it wasn't for rotary engine Mazda wouldn't have existed.

They also fitted them to limited range of GS Citroens and the RO 80 by NSU, who later turned into Audi. The original name was Auto Union, which consisted of 4 different brands and that's why Audi have 4 rings on the bonnet. Probably @12th Monkey would know more than me of the history of Audi/Auto Union/DKW

Purchased engines? Think you'll find they made their own engines, but may have bought a licence to the rotary design. Mazda have been around for donkeys years, the rotary engine was always exclusively niche for them. Ford's controlling stake in Mazda was beneficial to both companies, but did probably save Mazda. Ford sold their stake after the financial crisis, along with Aston, JLR, and Volvo.

If you'll forgive me shoehorning it in, not looking bad for a car that'll turn 18 in January. Only something terminal will make me part with it.

Wheels refurbed and some tiny bits of corrosion dealt with. Just needs the blades at the bottom of the front doors addressing - the metal in them warps over the years so they don't lie flat.

Picture of Senna at Donington on the wall, btw.
One thing is for certain, you must have to 'shoehorn it in'... to that garage. How do you get out of the car once you're in?
It seems to me that all UK garages are good for is a Smart car or a golf cart LOL

Being a very small island land is at a premium both in space and price. We don't have the luxury of available space as 'merica does.

Don't feel left out, keep throwing the pics on.

That looks like a gangster Mobil
Ha ha. If only. Except I'm the opposite of a gangster....... Sort of.
Not so very small really. The British mainland is the ninth largest island in the world, there's just too many of us living on it...
Too many of.......well not exactly us, as far as I'm concerned.

The rear suspension looks too low - possibly worn shocks and/or bushes. Love the panoramic roof.

The previous owner of the car unfortunately put new lowering springs on it, so yeah it does sit too low but the springs and bushes aren't worn out.
Surprising that the bloke did it, considering he lives ten miles away in Wales.

Saw a lovely looking Alfa GTV this morning while walking through the village, the exhaust note indicated it was a V6. Like this one.
