you have a nice collection 🤓
The Amirons work best with the tubes due to high 250 ohms.

These replaced my other excellent Focal Elegias which wasn't suited for tube amplification and forced to sell.
The Amirons were tonally similar to the Focals. It doesn't sound like a Byerdynamic headphone! Lovely rich texture in the sound that I really like.

The FiiOs are for out and about. Great sounding budget headphones, really punches above it's weight

The Hifimans prefer the Singxers. What can I say about my planar magnets?
Very even sound across the lows, mids and highs. Never get fatigued with these. Bass is well controlled, never lumpy, the mids have a good presence and treble has lots of detail.
I dream of Hifimans high end but can't bring myself to pay silly money for them. 🙂

Here's an old picture of mine, nothings changed:

Will take a new picture tomorrow, in daylight.

Well I only have one pair of headphones maybe worth showing as I've only just got into private listening (all be it with open backs) with hifi.
I've used and use all sorts of cheap beer stained moth bitten cans as djay monitors but only for mixing, usually with one over ear and the other swept back from my other ear to "beat match etc the proper way" 😁, I'm predominantly a floorstanders man but my one neighbour has started clashing (for want of a better word as she's a lovely old dear) with my hifi listening times as simply put she's usually out when I'm in and visa-versa but her 2 days off are now shared with some of my down time 😭.
Despite the almost bursting into tears finding this out 😂 i knew in the interest of not ruining her days off despite her mentioning numerous times the music isn't a bother that I needed a pair of decent headphones to avoid inadvertently becoming one of those drum and waste w?nkers, initially out came the Austrian HI-X15 to find they had broken themselves so I'll "be havin a butchers" , my quest now being made clear I made my way to my favourite hifi dealer and tried all sorts causing me to only pine for "open air listening" until stumbling on a classic pair of Sennheiser HD-650's which like most things hifi within 5mins knew they where for me, despite a pair of Hifiman Sundra's making a very convincing case for themselves bass being their strong point dare I say it better than the Sennheiser's (IMO of course😬) but holistically and despite being an old headphone on the market holistically the HD-650's took it within my preferences.
I thought initially the Sennheiser's would need a separate headphone amp but the Marantz CD 60 has it's own with multiple gain settings and even with harder to drive high cans medium is sufficient even to me who sees a numerical volume dial as a percentage of joy, but for my phone the story changes as it just can't muster the power to the volumes I enjoy.

I was toying with the idea of sending you a pm about where to go with a portable DAC/amp to connect to my Google pixel phone for those out and about scenarios, perhaps one that can be used with the hifi aswell as it hasn't got the guts to power the Sennheiser HD-650's as I know your "well versed" in all things headphones so thought I'd ask within your related thread 🥺
(I have a pair Bose 700's which are good especially the noise cancellation but they can't hold a candle to the Sennheiser's so would like the option to also use the HD-650),

Your elderly neighbour, oh bless. Maybe as a good friendship gesture, you can give her a bottle of gin, should give you a few hours grace once she's fallen asleep 🤣

One thing I love about headphones, is guilt free listening.

You mentioned Portable DAC for your Pixel, the Fosi Audio DS1 DSD Hifi DAC Headphone Amplifier comes to mind; these are selling for about £66 on Amazon, should be more than sufficient enough power to drive the Sennheiser's when you're on the go. It's also a DAC, should give you better sound quality than your Pixel.

There was a time I would use my mobile for music listening but got easily distracted by the popups and the downside it was a terrible drain on the battery. I've switched to DAP and is well worth the investment.

My TempoTec V6 has amplified outputs (right) and these bad boys can run any headphone, I suspect no problem powering up the Sennheiser HD-650's.

You probably want to use close headphones with your Pixel? I know I have been evangelical about the FiiO FT1 but these are mighty fine budget headphones, these will be great for outdoors, I hate earplugs, and for £130, it's a steal!
