Tech help required for Denon M37

I have had a Denon M37 for 16 months, and it worked fine until last week. Now when I try to switch it on, the light on the power button turns from red to green, flashes 3 times then turns itself back off. I have tried removing all leads form the back and also tried resetting the microprocessor as described in the manual but to no avail.

The item is no longer under warranty, so I would very much appreciate any advice as to what could be wrong and if it is worth while getting repaired or would it be really expensive.

IIRC I believe it has a 2-year warranty.
