I watched Mission: Impossible – Dead Reckoning Part One yesterday to gear up for the final instalment on IMAX this afternoon. The SVS was absolutely phenomenal—there was a helicopter scene where the low-frequency rumble shook the room and resonated in our chests! For the first time since 2014, I'm not missing the Buttkicker I had in my old house.

Hi bigboss, i'm looking for a sub and since you had your pb for a few months now i'd like your feedback on how it handles fast paced low bass. is it tight and accurate when the bass is low and fast? i was thinking of James Blake - Limit to your love that has a fast low bass.
I can't find a place to listen to them so any feedback would be much apreciated.
FYI my room is similar yours and i have an Arcam SA20 with Triangle BR03 and now i want to add a sub and later a mini dsp flex digital for crossover. Listen to all kinds of music but as for the bass goes i like it to be felt. TY!

I’ve had the PB-2000 Pro for a few months now, and I’ve been really impressed with how it handles fast, low bass. It’s tight, controlled and very accurate — not slow or boomy at all. Even with quick bass drops, it keeps up without smearing the notes.

I don’t really use my system for music — it’s mainly for movies — but in scenes with fast, low-frequency effects, the PB-2000 Pro keeps up really well. The bass hits hard and you can feel it, but it still stays clean, controlled, and precise.

My room is similar in size to yours, and the PB-2000 Pro integrates nicely with my system. Adding a miniDSP later will only make the setup even better, especially for fine-tuning the crossover.

If you like bass that hits hard and stays accurate, I think you’ll really enjoy the PB-2000 Pro.
