And this is why I need a 4k nit tv. Because it's the only way to be able to see your damn content.

For high dynamic range that will use over 1000 nits, the whole movie has to be made with it in mind. There are very few directors who can think in HDR but the ones who can regularly make the most profitable movies, e.g. James Gunn and Joseph Kosinski. Others will come but it's a rare skill at the moment.

The upshot is, super bright TVs will only really come to life for a few movies but they'll probably be the most spectacular ones.
