Speaker Purchase - Advice please

Hi all,

I am looking for a good amp and a good set of speakers plus obviusly a good subwoofer.

I have a LG SL900 which I am very pleased with to say the least.

My requiments are the smaller the speaker the better, they must be black.prefrably gloss black.

Up to now this is my "short list".

Jamo A102HCS5 £249

Mission Cubes (with ?? subwoofer)

Canton Movie 80cx

and fianlly

Egg 1005.2 5.1 with Onkyo amp TXSR706 £624.

My budget -again has changed a max of £650 for speakers and amp

Any input or advice would be appreciated,

I dont think any of those speakers (with the exception of the M-cubes) will do the 706 justice.

If you do go with the M-cube route, stick to their subwoofer, as these are Nxt speakers and the sub needs to integrate perfectly, so changing the sub might not sound so good.

You may get a good deal on the Kef 2005 range, these would be much better than the 1005s.

Have a look at the outgoing Q-acostics range 1010i as these can be had for a good price and will sound much better than the others on your list.
