Hey all forum readers, I'm wondering if anyone could answer this question for me. I have Q acoustic 2000i as my front speakers and I use the q acoustic speaker wall brackets. Now as my speakers are so very close to the wall, I have been using the foam inside the bass port at the rear of the speakers to tame the boost in the bass response, but my question is given that a typical dry wall would cause a huge bass increase, I built the a stud wall using rock wool sound proofing insulation and acoustically treated plasterboard, would this not dampen the bass increase by absorbing the early rear reflections?

If anyone could answe this that would be great because I'm trying to decide wether I need to use the foam inserts or not

cheers
