Speakers for MacBook Pro ?wireless

Hello

I have a M1 MBP which I use as my main desktop computer, attached to two monitors.

I would like some better speakers for it, there is a 5mm jack on the laptop and on the Anker dock I use to connect to the monitors but what I would prefer is wireless (likely Bluetooth) speakers on the shelf behind me. They would be need to be entirely self sufficient other than a mains connection.

When I have tried this before the speakers I had (some House of Marley ones) would disconnect and turn off, even when connected to mains, and I would need to go through a process of turning them on and pairing with the MBP to use them, so they never got used.

Please could I have some recommendations for both wired (either 5mm or USB) and Bluetooth speakers, my budget is £200 - £500.

Thank you

A

I’ve never tried it, but what about the rechargeable Sonos Bluetooth speakers, set up as a stereo pair?

Ah, I saw “wireless” and “self-sufficient” and missing “aside from mains”, immediately thought re-chargeable 🤦🏼‍♂️

Sorry. If you can accommodate mains powered, the options increase dramatically. I’m often wondering whether I can create a need for a pair of Ruarks.
