There must be a reason for it. I do know there is very little noise even at high very high volume with no sound .

Im sure there is more to it than just the mains cable .

Of course there's more to it. You forgot about the audiophile fuse.

I cant believe this thread is still going on.One thing i will add when i recently got my new Technics TT the power cable on it is the thickest power cable i have ever seen.Im guessing its to isolate the noise .

It's just thick to make it look substantial. Remember Monster Cables? They were just normal mains cables with an extra thick sleeve, nothing special, except the price.

Why would a high price mains cable do anything to the electricity which has travelled for miles through aluminium power lines to your house? Makes zero sense.
