I recently bought some used B&W 705 speakers (3). One of them came with the B&W stand but the other two did not include them. I am trying to find a nice, heavy-duty speaker stands for these. B&W mentioned that they do not make these stands anymore (I assume being 5+ years old at this point). I tried out the Kanto SP26 BK stands (Crutchfield had recommended them), get them, and realize they only have one screw versus the 4 that the base of my speaker has. (see pics)

Can anyone recommend any excellent stands that would be compatible for these speakers? Or what I search terms I should be searching for? (sorry, bit of a novice to all this) Flexible in regards to price, but looking at max, $500 for a pair of stands. (if there are others maybe a tad more expensive I might be willing to purchase if they are great). I don't know if I can trust what Crutchfield tells me in terms of recommendations..lol

I spoke to a rep from B&W and they said they no longer have compatible stands for this???? I was thinking of the B&W FS300 that apparently is for the S2 and S3 models, but he said they were not compatible? I took a measurement and the length and width of the holes on the bottom of the speaker are 16.5cm x 13.5cm (approximately).

I'm really at a loss right now to what I can find that would fit these!! Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Are your B&W meant to be fastened by screws to their original stand? I know that is sometimes the case, like my Guarneris as it happens, but normally speakers just sit on the stand. Often four little pea-sized pieces of Blutak are used to secure stand to speakers and prevent slipping.

My suggestion would be to either set up an EBay alert for the originals, and be prepared to be patient, or simply buy some matching height stands with a suitable top plate - but forget screwing them to each other.

Forget about the b&w stands

They’re just a simple box speaker any good quality stand will do, and probably better as these brands make nothing other that stands, atacama, partington, somthing solid, solid steel, custom design and the list goes on. They all do stands that will fit the speakers, arguably look better to and will be cheaper.
