Anybody know when the above tv is going to be available? As far as I understand it, it's the same as the W829, but without all the 3d nonsense, so it'll be cheaper.

Check out the HDTV test, also lacks some motion processing. No idea how important that is

I don't need 3D either so this is a consideration for me too!

I'm awaiting delivery of the 42 inch version of this tv, intended to replace my dad's old Sony CRT. Expecting a cracking picture - will keep you all posted. Still don't see the 50 incher in stock anywhere, just available for pre order (as mentioned previously, by Gel).
