Good evening ladies and gents (and team!) I have a Panasonic 50" V10 on the way when RS get some. I also have a Denon 1910 amplifier and the Quad Lite speaker package. Which of the above players would do justice to my setup? Can I "get away" with the 360 or would I see and hear benefits using the 760? Thanks for reading. :-D

If you a) sit close to your screen and b) plan to watch a lot of DVDs as well as Blu-rays, i'd plump for the 'S760, as it offers better picture quality and superior DVD upscaling.

But the 'S360 is an awesome player for the money, and with your receiver able to take a bitstream feed via HDMI, you have no need of the 'S760's multichannel outs.... Your choice (and @£100 diffference could buy a good batch of BDs!)

760 has superior processing to the 360, as always should try to do a demo with both, and make up your mind from the experience. My bets would be on the 760, and if demo is not an option and funds allow I personally would opt for the 760.

cheers -

Good evening Ms Newsome! Thanks for the reply. I sit approx 3 metres from the screen. Got a fair few dvd's, but shall purchase blu rays from here on in. I have pretty good eyes but from 3 metres I doubt I would see much difference between the two? P.S. £100 difference? Isn't the gap closer to double that?!

Hello Sc00bied00! The SD performance of the V10 isn't the best, so the better processing of the 760 would help. Hoping the upscaling of the denon is going to help with my foxsat pic too! Don't wanna be what iffing tho!

Sorry, meant £200 - just typing too quickly - though it seems the gap is already down to £150....

I have similar problem, do not know which one choose. I have Denon AVR-2310 and have following ambiguities:

a) if upscaling / video refining is better on 760 than on 2310?

b) if their would be difference in sound quality (including CDs) if I buy 360 vs. 760. I plan to use 2310 for audio decoding?

Currently I use HD ready projector.

Thanks for any thoughts.

And Dear What HI-FI - have you seen 360 and 760 inside? Aside obvious differences (Wifi, analog audio outputs and better video processing) are they different as regards components used? In other words if I use Denon AVR-230 to process video and audio, would 760 make difference against 360 ?

I will appreciate any thoughts

Thanks
