hi all , the problem i have is , i have just moved into a block of flats and there is satalite connection on the wall but only 1 socket, as you all know i need 2 f-type feeds for sky+ to work properly ,phoned sky for help and there only answer was to get another feed from this main dish ! , this will cost over £500 to install !!! i have tryed a cheap basic splitter from maplins but when connected the sky box recives no signal ! (something to do with frequency i am told)

there must be some type of splitter i can buy ???

any ideas guys ??

cheers bruce

A splitter will not work, the dish for sky+ has 4 LNB on it. Each LNB is for a different sky box and/or input. This is so each 'tuner' can work seperately. There is also a voltage on the cable to the dish that changes depanding on what channel you are viewing. If you have two boxes or inputs connected to the same point they will most likey want to output different voltages to the LNB at the same time. This would cause problems maybe even damage your box.

I had the same problem in my previous flat. Unfortunately, you are pretty stuck with limited functionality on your sky+ box unless you can get the extra line put in.
