Do you have an AV receiver? If you do and it upscales and upconverts - S Video from Sky box to receiver will help. I've said before on here that LCD and plasmas are manufactured these days to work with hdmi. Throwing a scart at it just doesn't work. If you don't have a receiver that can help, I would sell the Sky + box on ebay and buy a HD box on ebay too. Connect it up the same way as the Sky + box (aerial) and use hdmi instead of scart, call Sky and tell them that you have changed boxes and can they pair it up with your card. You would get BBC HD and C4 HD and any other free to air HD channels, and you would also get upscaled SD channels. This would cost you no extra in your monthly subscription.

Thanks for that. I figured it was just a Scart problem - i have the same thing with my X box 360 - its a shame as well because its the older model and doesnt have an HDMI option.

I've got a decent deal this morning on a Sky HD box at £75 and free installion! only problem is my install date is December 28th! apparently they are really busy.

From this i figure that You also running your 360 via scart right? If this is the case simply invest into a component cable for the 360 which will not only solve the problem you are having but actually allow you to enjoy your 360 in HD at 1080p.
