SKY HD ORDER HELP

Hi all ive ordered sky hd to be fitted oct 29th. £75 half price box and £30 fitting.

My` wife says people on her forums are being offered sky hd at £49 with 6 months free hd and free mulitroom is this true.

All i can think they are new customers as i im an existing customer and already have sky+.

Whats the real truth! HELP

have seen this offer posted through a propertys letterbox that i have changed locks on friday.

no afaik its still £75 and i doubt very much if they'll waive the hd subs either, i know they were doing a deal where you can get an extra box on top of the multi room for £49 so am wondering if people are getting there wires crossed somewhere.

edit- just looked on sky's site. the offer is still £75 box+£30 instalation

I think what's being referred to is cancellation/retention deals.

Seemingly people are calling Sky, either genuinely wishing to cancel, or just pretending to cancel for leverage, and are being offered this £49 deal for an HD box. What with this being the net and all, the deal just seems to keep getting better and better, Chinese Whispers style!

It's not guaranteed to work, you could find yourself well and truly disconnected, as has supposedly happened to some.

Personally, I think the £75 offer is pretty fair, I went for that
