I just bought hd for 75 with free install (as existing customer with multi room qualifying for free install).

My friend is a sky installer, it was a special deal for installers to offer to a limited number of customers. If you know a sky man, buy him a pint?

HHmm.....just had Sky HD installed 2 weeks ago and have multiroom but I paid £150 + £60 for installation! Should I be calling Sky for a rebate???

Was it a new installation or just upgrading from a Sky/Sky+ box to a SKY HD box? If the latter then you shouldn't have had to pay an installation fee.

I was upgrading from a Sky+ ( I also have multiroom) and was charged £60 installation...........Are you saying it should've been free?

Mine was upgrade from sky+ with multiroom hence free installation.

As it happens Sky hadn't enabled the recording for the new HD subscription soo it took the usual 1-1.5 hr instead of 20 minutes.

Typical tbh.

Emailed Sky with a complaint a couple of days ago and received a phone call tonight offering a £75 refund without any hassle!! Very happy! Thanks for the info Mutterz
