I am adding a sky HD box to my home cinema system next week . I will use an HDMI lead to connect Sky to my Sony 40z4500 , however should i continue to use my pair of Van den Hul analogues to connect the sound throught the Sony VA555ES , or are there another options ? Your comments please just in case i have to buy some other cables !

you should connect the sky+ hd box via hdmi to tv as you mentioned, and via optical cable to your av amp,then you'll get dd 5.1 sound (where available). you will only get stereo sound using your vdh interconnect
