Significant difference in music quality between Yamaha Aventage receivers?

This is just a quick question, but apart from the 9.2, 7.1, better video processors etc. differences between the Yamaha RX-A3020, 2020, 1020, is there a real noticeable difference between them? I realise their probably is because there's a £500 price difference between them, but I just want some expert opinions!

Depends on the speakers you're pairing it with & if they're revealing enough to bring out the difference or not.

What about Kef R100s?

Yes, there is a significant difference. Kef R100 benefits from superior amplification. Look at a minimum of 2020 if not 3020. Definitely demo to compare.
