Hey, finally got my room looking tidy enough for a snap. I’ve needed to toddler proof my living room so floor standers had to go, little one could reach the tv as well so needed to raise everything up. The wall was a mess from moving the tv so got some panels up to hide the holes and the cables.
Replaced some pretty basic Monitor Audio BR5 with some Lyngdorf FR1 to mount on the walls. Clarity is do much better now, they sound lovely, especially at lower volumes. They don’t go as low as the old floor standers and unfortunately my REL T3 failed recently. Need to see if it’s repairable, but as it’s only worth £150 probably not cost effective.
Amp is a Marantz SR7007 receiver which is doing fine but not amazing, will be my next upgrade. Hoping to find a second hand tdai 1120. My room is very tricky, angled room, too close to the back wall, big bifold door, pair of skylights. Whatever I buy it needs to have room correction.
