has anyone who has put their own bannana plugs onto speaker cables sealed them too... chebby has said that it keeps them tidy and something to do with oxygen haha... but are they really neccasary?
ok sorry to keep on posting, has anyone cut their own cable and fitted bananna plugs? if so did you seal the main speaker cable (1 thickest tube with 2 inside eg.chorc carnival silver) or leave them bare?
ah right thanks craig... got a false name off an american site. have you ever cut your own speaker cables? im being impatient i know but i spent months waiting to get it set up and i have everthing but the ends of the speakers set up... do you recon i just banana plug them and then get the tubing if/when i see fit? or does it make a huge difference... even though in the shop they gont cap the cables or suggested i needed the stuff when i got the plugs and speaker cable?
I remember seeing a diy cable kit recently online somewhere... had a hunt on google but can't find it now. It came with various termination options and this tool for sealing with. I was kind of intrigued but I decided it was probably easier to just buy ICs/cable pre terminated once you've decided what you need.
