Samsung LE40B550 vs Sony KDL-40W5500 (or W5710)

Can anyone help please?

I realise the Samsung won the below £1k supertest in the recent issue but how does the Sony compare?

I'd recently narrowed down my choices to the two and was settling on
the Sony until I read the current magazine issue. Argh! Originally what had swayed me towards the Sony was the 100Hz motionflow -the Samsung doesn't have motion processing at all. Does the absence of this make a noticeable difference? And is the Samsung that much superior in all other aspects?

Just trying to get a sense of how the Sony ranks now. Any feedback appreciated!

normally price plays a part in deciding these tests , id be wanting the 100hz personally , the w5500, w5710 or b650 is where id be looking ...

That's what I was thinking. Especially as the w5500 isn't that much more than the Samsung...

W5500 wins hands down, though it is generally on par with Samsung B750, which actually a bit better with blacks and contrast.
