how do i know if my ps3 has profile 2.0 software in it????

Find which firmware you have. If its 2.2 or over then you have profile 2 (If you dont then either connect to the net or download the latest firmware to a usb stick and install it)

how do i find which the firmware?sorry only just got it yersterday so don,t know much about them

If you connect it to the net, it'll tell you if you need a System Upgrade and guide you through the process.

On the PS3 menu (XMB) go to the Settings > System Settings > System Information and it will show you the System Software version. You can also check on the PS3 site the most current version release.
