Just wanted to report that this combo sounds fantastic.

I have audtioned the following amps and the ECI-3 is by far the best all-arounder for PMC 23:

- MF M6500i,

- Heed Integrated

- Naim SuperUniti

- ECI-3

Unfortunately I did not have access to any Bryston amps. :wall:

The music is extremly engaging and this is what I was looking for.

Doesn't surprise me in the slightest
I have been saying that the combination of PMC and Electrocompaniet does something special musically for quite some time :)
It is very hard to describe in words how or why the music played on PMC / Electro combinations sound so convincing it just does , and now you have heard it too I suspect nothing else will satisfy ;)

The second one you've linked was on there a couple of weeks ago. They seem hard to shift, presumably, because so very few outlets exist in the UK.

Good news... after all I've heard from our friend Electro about the combo, I'm not surprised.

Quite possibly :?

It seems many people ignore brands that they are not familiar with but stick to most common names that they read about the most in the HiFi media and of course forums like this , but they are really missing out IMO .

Electrocompaniet has a very large worldwide presence but for some reason the UK is one of their smaller markets .

There are eleven or more dealers in the UK plus a service and distribution centre in London so if a little effort is made then they can be auditioned , and believe me the time and effort is worth it :) .

It's a pity really - there's a lot of good stuff out there that isn't hitting the corrct markets. Poor distribution = poor sales. many other brands suffer a similar fate: Lavardin, Astintrew, Exposure....

That's certainly true, i found that with Exposure when i got my amp.

By the way the Exposure 3010S2 i have with my PMC 23's is delightful too! :) Try to hear that combo too if you can, highly recommended!

I've been hearing good things about the 3010 and keenly priced too.

Thanks, have no intention of changing the Leema.

Comment was aimed at the OP actually, sorry.

Yes the 3010S2 certainly took me by surprise, recommend anyone audition it if you're in the market for an amp in and around the £1000-£1500 bracket.
