Ha ha! Actually I'm not just taking the proverbial biscuit, I do have a serious question about the PX70. I was wondeing why it upscales non 1080p sources to 1080p, only to have to downscale them again to fit the 720 by 1024 panel? It seems kind of pointless don't you think?

you will see a difference a 1080p input like a PS3 game or blu ray movie does look slightly sharper allowing the excellent chips in the Panny to downscale it, i dont know the exact technical process but the V real allows the input, and its definatley more crisper, sharper and future proof

Seriously - and here I'm only surmising - I guess it makes most sense to do just one downscale to suit the panel, so it makes sense to take all video signals that don't accord to the native resolution up to the highest possible quality (ie 1080p), then do one scaling operation to fit them to the panel.
