Panasonic DMR E55

I have a panasonic DMR E55 DVD recorder which used to record TV programes received through rooftop aerial, but now i have virgin standard box and no rooftop aerial connection i have been unable to record any programes. should i be able to ?.

yes, but depends how it's been connected up with your v box,

If its been connected using rf/aerial input of the dmr E55,the dmr E55 may/will require re-tuning to the same frequency as v box is outputing. if it is connected via scart, you may have to select that input on the dmr E55 for it to record from the v box

I don't have a virgin media box but I assume that it has an RGB scart out connection. This needs to be connected to the scart in on the DMR E55. You then select A2 channel. The DMR E55 can also forward the signal input onto the TV even when switched off.
