NOS Dac

Does anyone have any experience of using NOS (Non Over Sampling) Dacs. They seem to have a following. Satements like 'Musical' and 'Smooth' seem to follow them wherever they go.

Currently using a V Dac but would like to upgrade but theres a huge jump in the price range with little if anything available until you get close to the 1K mark.

Reading up on NOS seems like it may be worth a punt but would like to solicit opinions before comitting.

Hi ,I dont own one , but many frens in a regular forum tell me that they sound very analogue due to the absence of digital filters and passive output stage...... this concept was reintroduced by 47 labs of Japan IIRC.....

this particular NOS DAC which is in version 3 now has been gaining a massive fanbase. Quite a number of reviews will turn up if u do a google on " monica dac" ....

( Been in the " to-buy-list" for ages now....lol )
