Hi guys I have an optical out from the ps3 connected to the beresford and a pair of rca cables running from the line fixed to the amp, but i am getting no sound. I have selected digital out from the sound settings list on the ps3 at which point in wants me to choose a sound output? but warning me that if the system doesn't support that sound output then it could damage my speakers, any ideas?

Right, i have the digital output connected to beresford and the rca cables from the line fixed on the beresford to the amp, but no sound is coming through, have chosen to output from the digital out on the ps3 settings screen but then it asks me to choose between AAC Linear PCM 2 Ch 88.2 khz and Linear PCM 2 Ch 176.4 Khz and warns that the wrong setting could damage the speakers.

Hopefully one of you guys can help me

Thanks in advance

I don't have a PS3, but you need to choose stereo, or 2 speakers in the PS3 config. The Beresford will not decode multi-channel Dolby Digital. As long as your volume isn't turned up high you won't damage your speakers.
