NO DOLBY DIGITAL

Please can anyone help me to work out why  my Yamaha DSP-AX761 amp is not picking up Dolby Digital from my Blue Ray discs?

I have connected my PS3 via HDMI cable to Sony W4000 and with an optical lead to the Amp but it doesn't automatically select DD but it just stays on ProLogic. Have I not set some sound setting correctly? My old DVD player is picking up DD on all DVDs  that has DD, also connect via an optical lead to the Amp. Desperate to get the sound going with beautiful Bluray pictures on Sony TV!!

Hi,

Check output settings on the PS3 - can't remember them off the top of my head - but do a search on the forums as it's well documented.

Yeah I agree,

From memory, you have to change the settings on the PS3 to output the sound via optical and not HDMI.
