night time is becomming a problem

when i watch a film at night the vocals are fine and then an action scence steps in and it goes wild and calms down. I love it in the day but at night its abit of a pain. I thought i enjoyed the night mode on medium but now i have found that the the films sounds flat.So what i do now is turn the centre from 5.0 to 7.5 and keep the left,sw,right,back right,back left the same then turn the volume down a touch till it sounds good and then because of the volume the action scenes sound better than the night mode but i have to remember before work to turn it the centre down. Can anyone give advise/help

Very disappointed that after that heading this wasn't a confession of lycanthropy, or vampirism, but if the night mode does nothing for you, the way you're doing it now seems as good a strategy as you're going to get.
