Next problem. Airfoil.

Jeez these computers have the ability to wind a saint up.

Having grappled with Airport Express, I am now unable to get Airfoil to work. It is running on the unlicensed version and I can't get it to hijack Windows media player. What a wind up, I thought that was its purpose.

Anyone else had probs with the unlicensed version (its supposed to work for ten minutes as a demo, some demo grrrrr)

Worked fine for me. Sometimes needs a couple of minutes to pick up the appropriate source, but otherwise it's fine. Have you got all the settings covered off (for the few there are)?

Not quite sure what you mean, but got it sorted at last!! And well worth the wait, I'm well impressed with the sound quality, volume is about right, stable streaming EXCELLENT!!! Got a Rinse FM podcast heaving dubstep out of the stereo as I speak. Freaking brilliant, this opens up a whole new world.

BTW, I see you run airfoil and AE through a laptop, rather than connect the laptop straight into your stereo. Is this for sound quality reasons?
