Well, after going from LCD to plasma, I now have the Pioneer 5090. As it's my 2nd Plasma screen(1st being a Pana Plasma which the frame had a nasty crack in), what are the best steps to take during the first few hundred hours of viewing. I have seen instant image retention on the Pioneer Plasma, Soon as the installation screen dissapeared it was there, I could see the ghost image on the black screen. Now I daren't turn the TV back on lol Any helpful and friendly advice would be greatly appreciated.

Hi,

Turning it on is probably the best thing for it. Set it to Movie mode. Set brightness as normal but turn down contrast for the first 200 hours and avoid images with static content, like menus and video game HUDs. Play static or fast moving images to remove image retention. ÿ
