I think your TV's fine, Gel.

You've perhaps been switching between Pro 1 and Pro 2 settings while it's all new.

I experimented similarly after my TV was first calibrated. I lost track of whether I was watching Pro 1 or Pro 2 a few times, too.

Yep, the TV is fine. I just got to figure out what I am doing just before I go to switch to night mode. It is possibly as you say I am doing it already without realising it! :)

Okay, I have just gone to switch to day mode and guess what? Already done! What the hell is going on? I think I should probably ask Jules now, I can't work it out! The TV is fine but this is really confusing!

Gel Boy, With regards to your Ambient Light Sensor. You say its Off? Just to recap does the word Off appear in Settings? if so Ambient Sensor is Active/Switched On. If the word On appears this means the Ambient Sensor is Off/inactive. :)

Is The Mysterious Cities of Gold your test disc?

Looking good though. Tempted to get my done but I've got the Disney Wow and Spears & Munsil calibration blu rays to try first.

I thought it would look good because it is on Blu-Ray and has just been made. I have got some more pictures of it, if you would like?

Yep, it is a good idea to have it done, I am enjoying mine.

The bottom ones are a lot better than the top ones - is that day setting contrast appears very high.

Some are on Sky and some are on Blu-Ray. I don't pause the pictures too, these are taken while still moving. Contrast is on 69 on night mode. It has switch automatically again!

I thought it looked like contrast was higher - however I dont know how the 50" measures.

I have mine set to 30ftl - which is 60 contrast. I find that bright enough in the whites.

I have been meaning to do some pics but dont want to steal Gels thunder - his pics are looking great - not the cartoon ones so much - the ones of real people.

I have just packed away my demo sub - waiting for my new sub to arrive tomorrow. Not easy to fire the system up with no sound... maybe a will :)

I have got Apocolypse - pic is ok , is an old blu ray now. I will try and take a few if I can today / tomorrow
