The settings are all locked now, so I can't change them.

You can switch between the calibrated Pro modes and other picture presets (Normal, Cinema, THX, etc...).

I'm pretty sure that's what Series1boy was suggesting.

Yeah, I can do that, I have just been checking out the differences in terms of picture quality.

Exactly what I was saying.

With the quality of these pictures gel do you think you really need a new Blu ray player?

I believe he wants a player with faster loading times. The picture quality wasn't an issue.

Yup.

Can't believe it but it's true, I think in the next few months I will buy another Blu-Ray player and this time for keeps!

I am going to sell my Pioneer on AV and get a cheap deal for one, I think I will buy the Marantz UD5007. I just decided I want quicker loading times.

I have just put my Pioneer up for sale on AV, it will all depend if I can get a price I am looking for. If I can't I might try eBay and if I still can't I will keep it.

If loading times are a priority, you'd perhaps be surprised by many budget decks' speed.

While Oppo and CA players are quick to load discs, my Panny 120 was the fastest player I've owned in this regard. (I'm sure BBB will corroborate.)

In fact, the Panny was an absurdly capable machine for the price. I only got rid because I wanted reference upscaling, and the Panasonic was no slouch in this department either.

Yep, that is why I was thinking of the Marantz 5007.

Vincent teoh from HDTV test. First calibration was someone from avforums and I wasn't happy with end result on either day or night.

Blimey that must have cost you! How much did you pay for each? I got mine for £185 and a THX ornament included.

I think you have just got to remember that is the way it has been setup for a reason, and I haven't seen a bad image on this TV yet. So I am quite happy, Mrmarlky has his on night settings. Yep, I do like bight images but Jules explained to me the colours were all wrong, the TV was producing far too much red in the picture, now it's accurate.

I think it was Leicester to Milton Keynes. I asked for a discount for being a Norwich fan and it worked! Normal price is £205 but then petrol on top. I got petrol free for being close. I am sure you can ask for a discount too though. And ask for a THX ornament too. You can just post Jules a message on AV and ask for a quote. I asked Steve Withers too but he is in Swindon and recommended Jules instead. Then ask for a slight discount. I also didn't want 3D calibration and so he deducted a further £10 off.

£250 first time but got this refunded. Second time cost me £200 including travel costs and I must say I'm well happy with the end result..
